The Justice League of WNY’s Steering Board handles the basic operations of the group, and arranges and coordinates events. They take care of new member applications, costume reviews and approvals, and all other day-to-day things as needed. Our goal is to minimize stress for our members so that they can focus on the core idea of entertaining the pubic and bringing attention to the causes and charities that are important to us.
Shawn has been employed with local law enforcement for the past 30 years, and associated with the Buffalo Comic-Con for the past 20 years. He is an avid collector and part-time dealer of rare toys and comics. Shawn brings his experience to working with cosplayers and different charity organizations and businesses for our contribution to our community.He will assist anyone and thanks you for your membership.
Susan has been cosplaying for over 20 years. She is known for her infinite variations of DC’s popular character Harley Quinn as well as numerous SteamPunk takes on popular characters. She’s also part of Queen City Pinups, WNY’s only dedicated cosplay pinup photography studio.
Bob has been photographing cosplayers since 1998. A former Quadrant CO for the Klingon Assault Group, member and former member of a number of other groups, Bob has seen groups come and go. His goal for JLWNY is to help cosplayers share the fun and make people smile. He handles most of the photography, social media and web stuff for the group. He’s also part of Queen City Pinups, WNY’s only dedicated cosplay pinup photography studio.
Kris Bookhagen has had fun portraying different characters both as cosplay and on stage for many years. You can see some of her cosplay at Buffalo’s Velma. Her passions include crochet, reading, and taking care of kids and animals, owning both KB’s Off the Hook and KB’s Pet Care and Home Sitting Services.
